Common Issues
My converted email looks different in Outlook
Outlook uses a non-standard rendering engine that handles HTML and CSS differently to web browsers. Minor differences in spacing, fonts, or layout are common. We recommend always previewing your converted email in Outlook before sending. If differences are significant, try simplifying your Canva template — single-column layouts and basic styling tend to convert most reliably.
My images are not showing
Outlook blocks images by default until the recipient opts in. Make sure your images are hosted on a publicly accessible URL rather than embedded as local files. Canva-hosted image links should work provided they remain active after export.
My fonts are not displaying correctly
Outlook has limited font support. If your Canva template uses a custom or Google Font, it will likely fall back to a system font in Outlook. Stick to web-safe fonts such as Arial, Helvetica, or Verdana for the most consistent results.
The layout has broken into multiple lines
Multi-column layouts are one of the most common sources of rendering issues in Outlook. If your template uses side-by-side sections, try converting to a single-column layout in Canva before exporting.
My background colours or images are missing
Outlook does not support CSS background properties on most elements. Background colours on table cells are supported, but full-bleed background images are not. Consider using a solid colour background as a fallback.
Tips for Better Results

- Stick to web-safe fonts (Arial, Helvetica, Verdana).
